50's "Forever Young Day" in South Jamaica's 40 Projects A Success!!

They tried to stop him from having a community event in South Jamaica, but it didn't work! Fifty hosted "Forever Young Day", Saturday, September 26th in 40 Projects. The event began at 10am and ended at 5pm. All were invited to attend the public event and enjoy free food, carnival games, inflatable rides, educational centers, etc.
There were performances by students from PS 40 and PS 48 as well as Hightower Productions. The Elite Marching Band ended the talent showcase by marching down Union Hall Street onto 110th Avenue and into the park, where they ripped it!!!! Big shout out to ALL of the performers! At the close of the event, Young Money Trav opened for Fifty, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo for a crowd of over 2500 people. The crowd went crazy!!

Thank you to MTV, the Daily News, and NY 1 for coming out to cover this POSITIVE event!!

Shout out to Papoose and Cormega for coming through!!

A big THANKS to all of yesterdays staff!!

Oh yeah, and there are a few other shout outs that are in order..First, the NY Post for coming out and getting the red carpet treatment and then printing the article in Sundays paper on page 22. You've gotta be real upset that you couldn't print a 2 page layout on a bunch of negative BS like you did before, huh? Second..ALL of the non supporters that thought this community was non deserving of this event for whatever ignorant reason you could come up with..we see you!
