Ex-Prison Guard Denies Spying On Lil Wayne In Jail

A former guard at Rikers Island may sue after she was terminated for allegedly spying on rapper Lil Wayne.

Officials at Rikers Island, the New York jail that houses the rapper,
charged that Amelia Negron went into the unit where Wayne stayed without
appropriate authorization.

Negron denied the charges.

“I don’t even like rap. I like rock and alternative music and didn’t
know much about him when they said I tried to see him. None of it’s
true,” she told the New York Daily News.

Negron admitted to going into the ward that held Wayne, but she said she
was there to speak to a co-worker, not the multi-platinum artist.

“The door to the area was unlocked, and so I went in to say hello, and
that officer said, ‘Hey, you can’t be here. We’ve got a celeb here.’ I
said, ‘Okay, no problem,’ turned around and left.”

She said afterwards, she was subsequently threatened.
