After last month's publicized Method Man on-stage attack at the annual Gathering of the Juggalos concert in
Illinois, one of the show's performers has come forward to dispel
negative rumors about the incident being intentional.
According to show headliner and Insane Clown Possee member Violent J, Method Man happened to find himself in the line of fire when bloodied by a thrown object.
"What happened to Method Man -- that shouldn't even be discussed, because that was one a--hole," Violent J said. "One d---head
threw something, and by chance, it hit [Method Man] in the face. But he
wasn't speaking for Juggalos or for ICP or the Gathering. And they
weren't getting bombed up there -- it was one a--hole." (MTV)
Last month, J also said Method Man's choice of words caused a stir of negative reactions.
J claims Method Man didn't know the significance of the word, telling the crowd, "F**k family. It's all about hip-hop" -- and
according to the man in black-and-white face paint, that's exactly where
MM went wrong ... and paid for it with a bloody face. As we first
reported, Meth plans to sue over the incident -- but J tells us, "I
don't feel responsible at all" ... referring to the impending lawsuit as
"straight b*tch sh*t." Despite the bad blood -- Violent J adds, "We
don't think it should have happened ... We respect Meth and Red to the fullest." (TMZ)
In mid-August, Method Man said he was planning to file a lawsuit over what went down.
Rapper Method Man is taking legal action after he was allegedly hit in the face with a beer can while performing onstage at
amusic in Illinois. He continued with the performance but now he's preparing to sue the perpetrators of the attack. The rapper tells TMZ,
"It's not OK... I don't condone throwing things at the talent while
they're performing. It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue
performing after you've been hit in the face." (Toronto Sun)
At the same event, singer/reality star Tila Tequila was also physically assaulted.
Tila had barley taken the stage when people in the audience started throwing items at her. Tila was left with cuts and bruises all
over her face, see the photos of her injuries here. As she screamed to
the rowdy crowd "I ain't going nowhere!", she tried to go on singing but
the crowd was not having it. It took several bodyguards to stand in
front of the petite Tila to block her but she just continued singing
behind her wall of human protectors. Apparently comedian Tom Green got
on the stage to try and help calm down the crowd, but it didn't work!
Eventually she exited the stage and evaluated her injuries, she was in
shock at everything that had gone on. (Right Celebrity)
