Former Grand Hustle rival Shawty Lo recently discussed his feelings on squashing past issues with incarcerated rapper T.I. and revealed his anticipation for the "King" to come home safely.
Speaking about a new song called "Roll The Dice" from his forthcoming I Am Carlos album, Shawty explained how they squashed the beef.
"Me and Tip, we talked for about 15 minutes on November 24th ," said Shawty Lo of last year's Dirty Awards altercation. "And we just came to a conclusion [that] it ain't need to go no further. Basically, it's over with. Homie be home next year. Free Tip. [T.I.'s] last show [before beginning his jail sentence] at Club Crucial I came out and showed - What better place to do it [than] on Bankhead, and show in front of our peoples [that the beef was squashed]? I came on stage, the people saluted and they went crazy." (Hip Hop DX)
Writing via Twitter, Ludacris updated his fans on the self-proclaimed "King of the South" last month and his reaction to learning about Lil Wayne and Lil Boosie preparing for jail sentences.
"Talking to TIP," he wrote Wednesday (October 28) evening. "He sais to tell Wayne and Boosie he Hates the situations y'all are in but he ridin wit the both of you. TIP also sais to all my Chicago peoples cut out all that d*mn nonsense!!! Sh*t has got to STOP!!!!!! I 2nd that!!!" (Ludacris' Twitter)
Tip's long-time girlfriend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle recently confirmed plans to marry the rapper upon his departure from prison.
"Sometime [next] year, but we can't really give a date yet because we have to find out exactly when Tip is coming home," Tiny revealed in an interview. "We'll have to just plan around that, but I envision a fairy tale wedding. [As far as music together,] well, we did one song and we just never really got back in the studio, but I can't say that you won't hear anything in the future. I don't want to give it out yet, I want to hold it to make sure we go in that direction. We have several things that we're talking about doing together, so we'll see how that works out." (XXL Mag)
The singer previously updated fans on Tip's conditions as he serves a 366-day prison sentence on gun charges.
"I talk to him about a little of everything, just things going on," she said in an interview. "He hears things and we talk about it. He wants me to stay out the way, me being out of harm's way. I know it's a lot of crazy things going on so I try to stay in as much as possible because I don't have him here. So I come out only when it's necessary. I stay out the way...He's doing good. He's passing the time by working out and just doing things they do inside, you know," she stated. He's playing handball and things like that. I go see him every Sunday, sometimes on Mondays. We talk everyday. He gets emails, working out and doing things like that so he's busy in there. He has a full schedule." (All Hip Hop)
Tip is currently scheduled to be released from prison in 2010.
